Leveraging Microsoft 365 Tools for Style In Form

The Challenge

Style In Form is a Canadian wholesale furniture company based in British Columbia and Ontario that has been supplying retailers, designers, restaurants, and hotels since 2003. Style In Form provides a wide range of wood, glass, and upholstery collections and furniture items that include both reproductions and original designs for the bedroom, dining room, living room and beyond. To support the company’s growth and boost productivity, PropelU Cloud Solutions was engaged to assist Style In Form with email migration from Google Suite to Microsoft 365, which took place without any disruptions to the day-to-day business operations.

The Objective:

The project was conducted within a two-week period and included the following activities:

• Defining Project Goals and Requirements: Propel met with leaders and IT Administrators at Style In Form to establish goals and expectations for the project. An in-depth review of the requirements to set up Microsoft 365 tenancy was then conducted, which included designing future-state SharePoint folder structures for improved document management. Following the review, Propel was able to create a Project Plan with a proposed installation schedule.
• Migrating Email Inboxes: Data within email inboxes were synched using Microsoft 365’s native batch migration tools, which allowed Style In Form to continue using their G-Suite services throughout the cut-over with zero disruption.
• Cut-Over Meeting: The cut-over from G-Suite to Microsoft 365 took place within one meeting with all employees at Style In Form where they were provided detailed guidance on setting up their accounts in Windows and Mac, activating Multi-Factor Authentication for added data security, and leveraging the many benefits and features of Microsoft 365.
• Optimizing Existing Distribution Lists: Following the migration, Propel optimized Style In Form’s existing distribution lists, exported contact lists which were converted to M365 distribution lists, while reviewing current aliases and forwarders to ensure none were missed in the M365 hosted environment.

The Results

The Microsoft 365 Migration set Style In Form up for success to continue growing their business across Canada and improve internal collaboration through Microsoft 365’s powerful cloud solutions. Working closely with team members at Style In Form, Propel ensured there were no service disruptions and was able to achieve a seamless transition. After the migration, Propel provided continuous support to ensure users and IT Administrators at Style In Form were empowered and equipped with the skills and knowledge to fully leverage Microsoft 365.
